WELCOME TO OBSTETRIC MEDICINE SYDNEY
Sandra Lowe is a Conjoint Associate Professor with the School of Women’s & Children’s Health, UNSW and a Visiting Obstetric Physician at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick and the Prince of Wales Private Hospital. Dr Lowe specialises in Medical Disorders of Pregnancy and has more than 25 years’ experience as a specialist helping women with a range of problems including hypertension, excessive morning sickness in pregnancy (hyperemesis gravidarum), heart or kidney disease.
All new patients require a current referral from their obstetrician, gynaecologist or general practitioner. It is best if you can fax or email your referral prior to your appointment to ensure Dr Lowe is the appropriate doctor for you to see. This will ensure we can best help you with your condition and maintain continuity with other doctors looking after you.
In the lead up to your appointment with Dr Lowe, please read through our “Information for Patients” site to see if there are things you can do to help your condition in the meantime.
Appointments can be made by phoning Dr Lowe’s office on Level 7, POWP Hospital 96504957.
In the months since Covid 19 was first diagnosed in Australia we have all been adjusting to a number of challenges and changes. To keep everyone safer, our practise rapidly transitioned to Telehealth where this was safe and suitable for your condition.
In order to continue to continue to provide these services, the Australian Government had recognised that private Specialists will need to charge private fees for these consultations. We will continue to offer Teleconsults until the current restrictions can be safely lifted.
You will receive an invoice after your Tele consultation and we request payment within 24 hours by direct debit or credit card. If you are experiencing financial stress please let us know and we will make suitable arrangements. As always, your medicare and any safety net rebates will be processed automatically on receipt of your payment.
Thank you for your understanding and we will make sure we keep everyone as safe as possible through these extraordinary times.
